Submit to Mayhem
Mayhem invites submissions of creative prose and poetry from across Aotearoa New Zealand. We may also consider works from Kiwis abroad.
We consider all original, previously unpublished works that have not been simultaneously submitted elsewhere. We are open to submissions at any time.
We are currently in the process of producing the latest issue, and planning and launching a new era of Mayhem. This is taking some time!
If you would like to submit to Mayhem now, you are most welcome to, and we will tuck it away for consideration for the next issue. Please note, this may be some time away. (timeline tbc)
Alternatively, you could send it other places, and circle back to us later in the year, keeping an eye out on our website for dates.
prose
Short fiction, creative non-fiction, creative essays or excerpts of longer prose work to a maximum of 5000 words. Limit of three prose pieces per submission.
poetry
Up to five poems per submission, on any theme and in any style.
